DECORATION WORKSHOPS

Most of our backdrops are made of special stage plywood. It can be moulded into any desired shape and is light and easy to work with. Once painted, it creates the perfect illusion on stage. Equipment for exhibition rooms, upmarket catering or hotels is also manufactured here. There are virtually no limits to creativity.

Great artists are also at work in our sculpture workshop! They carve, model, shape and create perfect models, which are later sculpted in large format using various processes and techniques.

Vienna can look back on centuries of theatre tradition. Today, Vienna's opera houses and theatres are world-class, above all the Austrian Federal Theatres with the Vienna State Opera, the Burgtheater and the Vienna Volksoper. ART for ART Theaterservice GesmbH, an independent company under the umbrella of Bundestheater-Holding since 1999, follows the tradition of great opera houses and theatres and stands for the highest quality in the production of stage costumes and decorations. Our employees have mastered ancient, long-forgotten techniques. We endeavour to preserve this valuable craft for future generations and have therefore created the "Viennese Excellence" brand. It stands for the highest quality and traditional craftsmanship. This quality standard makes our costumes and backdrops unique, and our services are in demand from cultural professionals worldwide. We are constantly working on preserving this valuable knowledge and passing it on to our young employees as part of their training so that we can continue to enchant audiences in the future.
