Project Manager for Decoration Workshops (Full-time)

Who we are
ART for ART is a subsidiary of the Austrian Federal Theatres and is one of the largest theatre service providers in Europe. In addition to the costume and decoration workshops, building technology and the ticket sales & information department, ART for ART also operates the Digital Technologies Service Centre (IT) as the central IT service provider for all companies of the Austrian Federal Theatres - the Vienna State Opera, the Burgtheater, the Volksoper Wien and the Vienna State Ballet.

Wir suchen für unsere Dekorationswerkstätten im Arsenal ab 1. Oktober 2026 eine:n Projektleiter:in in Vollzeit.

Your Responsibilities:

Ihr Aufgabenbereich ist die Planung und Steuerung der Herstellung von Opern-, Ballett- und Schauspieldekorationen in unseren Dekorationswerkstätten im Wiener Arsenal. Sie sind Ansprechpartner:in für die Bühnengesellschaften sowie für weitere externe Auftraggeber:innen aus dem Bereich Kunst und Kultur. Sie steuern den Produktionsprozess von Theaterdekorationen von der Initiierung bis zum Abschluss. Sie sind als Projektleiter:in verantwortlich für Qualität-, Kosten- und Zeitmanagement.

Your qualifications for this varied role:

We expect a completed technical or design qualification, preferably in event technology, architecture, or stage design, as well as experience in workshop production management. You are a strong negotiator and able to communicate with personalities from the international art and culture scene on an equal footing. You have business administration knowledge, are proficient in MS Office and Auto CAD, and have a command of English.
